Leads

Leads (email.aimly.online/companies) is your account-wide contact directory. Each lead represents an individual recipient at an organization and can be tagged with multiple Categories, evaluated with ZeroBounce AI quality scoring, and enrolled into one or more Campaigns.

Overview metrics

Four summary cards at the top of the Leads page track account-wide coverage:

MetricDefinition
Total leadsTotal active leads stored in your account.
In a campaignNumber and percentage of leads enrolled in at least one campaign versus unenrolled.
In a categoryNumber and percentage of leads assigned to at least one category.
ContactedNumber and percentage of leads who have been sent at least one email.

Searching, sorting, and filtering

Use the toolbar above the lead table to narrow or order your directory:

  • Search — matches case-insensitively against lead name or email address.
  • Sort — sort by Alphabetical, Campaigns (enrollment count), or Contacted status (ascending, descending, or default order).
  • Filters:
    • Campaigns — filter by enrolled campaigns, with an ANY / ALL match toggle when two or more campaigns are selected.
    • Shared Company — isolate companies that have multiple contacts in your directory.
    • Categories — filter by category tags, with an ANY / ALL match toggle when multiple categories are selected.
    • Health Score — filter by a 0.0–10.0 score range and choose whether unscored leads are set to Include, Exclude, or Only.
    • Blocked — filter by deliverability block state (Off, Yes, or No) and inspect block-reason counts under your active Verification Strictness level.

Email quality score badge

Each lead row includes an Email Quality Score column powered by ZeroBounce AI Email Quality Scoring (0.0 to 10.0):

  • 8.0 – 10.0 (Green) — strong mailbox signal and active address quality.
  • 5.0 – 7.9 (Amber) — moderate quality or catch-all/uncertain signal.
  • 0.0 – 4.9 (Red) — low quality or elevated bounce risk.
  • Get score button — shown when a lead has not been scored yet. Clicking Get score checks Aimly's verification cache first and otherwise requests a score using your configured ZeroBounce API key (1 ZeroBounce credit).
Configuring ZeroBounce scoring

To score leads on demand or automatically during imports, connect a ZeroBounce API key and enable AI Email Quality Scoring under Account Integrations.

Row and bulk actions

Each lead row provides six actions from left to right:

ActionBehavior
View details (eye)Opens the lead details modal with contact details, status badges, enrolled campaigns and category tags.
Edit lead (pencil)Updates the lead's name, company, email address, phone number, address, or lead notes.
Assign to category (tag)Adds or removes category tags for the lead.
Download as CSV (download)Exports the lead's record as a .csv file.
Enroll lead in campaigns (campaign icon)Enrolls the lead into one or more campaigns (campaigns with active or paused automations can't accept new leads; enrollment into them is refused).
Delete (trash)Soft-deletes the lead across your entire account: removes it from all campaigns and categories. Its queued, scheduled and automation emails stop going out, and existing email records are kept.

Selecting multiple rows displays the bulk action bar to Download selected as CSV, Assign selected to category, Enroll selected leads in campaigns, or Delete selected in a single operation. With a search or filter active, select-all acts only on the filtered leads.

Adding leads

Adding & Importing Leads
0:00 / 0:00

Click Add Lead to import contacts via Manual entry, CSV Upload, or Finder. Manual and CSV require confirming your contacts come from public business sources with a legitimate business interest; Finder requires accepting its usage limits.

Lead fields and character limits

FieldCSV columnRequiredMax lengthNotes
Lead NamenameYes60 charsContact's full or first name (used for {{lead_name}}).

Phonephone_numberNo30 charsOptional contact phone number.

Lead Infocompany_infoNo500 charsContext used by AI email generation to personalize outreach for this lead.

CSV Upload

Upload one or multiple .csv files in a single batch:

name,company_name,email,phone_number,address,company_info
Jane Doe,Acme Corp,jane.doe@acme.com,+1-555-0100,"123 Main St, Austin, TX","Series B logistics SaaS expanding into cold-chain monitoring"

During import, Aimly normalizes headers and skips emails already in your directory. Every row must have a name, company and email, and pass format, disposable-domain, MX, hard-bounce and Verification Strictness checks. If any row fails, that file is rejected with a per-row error list and none of its rows are imported; other files in the batch still import. Role-based addresses such as info@ are not rejected in CSV or manual imports.

Importing from Finder

The Finder tab inside Add Lead lets you either launch a new web discovery job or import leads from completed Finder searches:

  • Completed searches with unimported contacts appear directly in the tab (Everything is up to date appears when all discovered leads have already been imported).
  • The counts shown include only contacts passing your current Verification Strictness. The import itself saves all results with a valid format; blocked addresses are still stopped at send time.
  • Importing saves every valid contact in the search. If several enrolled leads share a company, the campaign's Multiple leads, same company prompt lets you resolve it.
