Finder

Aimly Finder (finder.aimly.online) discovers companies and decision-maker contacts matching a natural-language search brief. Search runs build an isolated, reviewable result set (Accepted and Rejected contacts) that you can export as CSV or import selectively into Aimly Email Leads.

Prerequisites

Before starting a Finder search, configure the following under Integrations on the unified dashboard (Account Integrations):

  1. A Finder-compatible AI model key — Gemini, Claude, OpenAI, xAI, or a compatible Custom endpoint supporting tool calling and at least 25,000 tokens per minute (TPM).
  2. At least one enabled Web Search provider — Apify (requires at least $0.10 available account credit), Firecrawl, Tavily, or BetterContact, arranged in your preferred Search order.
  3. ZeroBounce (optional) — enables live deliverability verification and 0.0–10.0 AI Email Quality Scoring as leads are discovered.

Click New search (or Find leads when you have no searches yet). The dialog first checks your integrations; if any are missing it links you to Integrations instead of showing the form. Next, review the Finder usage notice and tick I understand these usage limits and want to continue. Then configure the search parameters and click Start finding leads:

ParameterLimits / DefaultBehavior
Search brief8 – 500 characters (required)Natural-language description of your target industry, geography, company size, and buyer roles. Click Optimize to refine your prompt automatically with AI before launching.
Leads1 – 200 companies (default 25)Target number of distinct companies to discover, capped by your remaining rolling 30-day plan quota.
Lead InfoDefault OnCompiles concise company and contact context (company_info) for personalized outreach in Aimly Email.
Phone NumberDefault OffSearches for a direct or organization phone number for each discovered lead.
AddressDefault OffSearches for a physical office or regional address for each lead.
ZeroBounce credit exhaustionStop the search or Continue without checkingControls what happens if your ZeroBounce balance runs out mid-search (when ZeroBounce is enabled).
Writing effective search briefs

Include concrete qualifiers — industry niche, location, company size, and target job titles — for example: "B2B freight brokerages in Texas and Illinois with 15–150 employees; Operations Directors, VPs of Logistics, or Founders." Enable Phone Number and Address only when needed, as extra fields require additional lookup queries per company.

Concurrency, batching, and search lifecycle

  • Up to 10 concurrent active searches — you can run up to 10 searches simultaneously (Waiting to start or Finding leads).
  • Fair round-robin batching — active searches progress in batches of 10 target companies, rotating fairly across your queued jobs with built-in pacing to protect your AI and search provider keys from rate limits.
  • Automatic provider fallback — Finder queries your enabled web search providers in the priority order set in Account Integrations. If one provider exhausts its quota mid-run, Finder falls back to the next enabled provider automatically. Before each round of searching, Finder checks every provider's credits and skips any that are out; if none has credits left, the search stops with a message naming them. Top up or add a provider, then click Try again.
  • Duplicate contacts — Finder steers away from up to 200 email addresses already in your leads or this search, and rejects any active lead address it finds again as a duplicate.

Search statuses and controls

StatusMeaning & available actions
Waiting to startQueued before the first batch begins. You can Edit search (brief, target count, output fields, or ZeroBounce setting) or Cancel search.
Finding leadsActively discovering and verifying contacts. Click Stop search at any time to halt execution while keeping all leads found so far.
CompletedReached the target company count.
Partially completedExhausted available search results or provider credits before reaching the full target count. Click Try again to resume from current progress.
StoppedCancelled manually. Click Continue to resume from where the search paused.
FailedStopped due to an upstream provider or configuration error. Fix the underlying integration issue and click Try again to resume without losing previously found contacts.

Reviewing Accepted vs. Rejected results

Opening any search displays two tabs:

  • Accepted — verified individual contacts ready for outreach. You can click Get score on unscored rows (when ZeroBounce scoring is configured) and click Download to export a .csv file whenever at least one accepted lead exists.
  • Rejected — contacts automatically filtered out during discovery, along with the rejection reason: role-based inboxes (info@, sales@, support@, admin@, ceo@), placeholder addresses, disposable domains, domains missing MX records, duplicates, or addresses blocked by your active Verification Strictness level.

How plan quota is counted

  • Only unique accepted companies count toward your rolling 30-day Finder plan quota.
  • Additional contacts discovered at the same company (+N extra) and contacts placed in Rejected do not consume extra company quota.

Importing results into Aimly Email

Finder searches remain isolated until you explicitly bring them into Aimly Email:

  1. Open Aimly Email → Leads → Add Lead → Finder (or export CSV and use CSV Upload).
  2. Select a completed search with unimported contacts.
  3. Choose whether to import into your general directory or enroll directly into a campaign.

The counts shown include only contacts passing your current Verification Strictness. Importing saves every result with a valid format; blocked addresses are still stopped at send time. If several contacts from one company enter a campaign, resolve them in the campaign's duplicates prompt.
