Yahoo Mail

Yahoo Mail connects over encrypted SMTP and IMAP using a dedicated Yahoo App Password (Yahoo rejects standard login passwords for third-party mail clients).

1. Generate a Yahoo App Password

1. Ensure 2-Step Verification is enabled on your Yahoo account.
2. Open your Yahoo Account Security settings.
3. Select Generate app password (or Generate and manage app passwords).
4. Enter Aimly as the application name and click Generate password.
5. Copy the generated password immediately — Yahoo displays it only once.

2. Connect in Aimly Email

1. Go to Mailboxes → Add Mailbox and complete Step 1 (Signature & extras) and Step 2 (Rate limiting).

2. In Step 3: Connect your mailbox, select Yahoo as the Email Provider and enter your full Yahoo email address. Aimly automatically configures the server defaults below:

   IMAP Host	imap.mail.yahoo.com (993, SSL/TLS)
   Sent Folder	Sent

3. Continue to Step 4: Secure your mailbox, paste your Yahoo App Password, and save. Aimly tests both SMTP and IMAP connections before completing setup.
